Alice's Weapon Sling adds craftable weapon slings to Project Zomboid Build 42.20.x Stable. Carry weapons on your chest or back, choose between three front positions and switch equipment through an optional radial menu. Supports two slings at once, hidden textures, multiplayer and existing saves. Do not mix with other Rifle Slings versions.

Alice's Weapon Sling expands weapon-carrying options in Project Zomboid by introducing practical rifle slings that allow survivors to attach and organize their firearms.
The modification is an updated continuation of Noir's Rifle Slings and Akyet's Rifle Slings, adapted for Project Zomboid Build 42.20.x Stable.
Players can equip two slings, customize their positions, hide their appearance and optionally use a radial menu for faster weapon management.
Main Features
The addon introduces several improvements to weapon equipment management:
- Two weapon slings - Wear one on the front and another on the back.
- Three front positions - Adjust the placement of the front sling.
- Weapon attachment - Carry compatible weapons using the sling system.
- Quick weapon switching - Optional radial menu for equipment management.
- Adjustable positioning - Change sling positions without detaching attached weapons.
- Hidden textures - Make slings invisible while preserving their functionality.
- Multiplayer support - Designed to work in both single-player and multiplayer.
The developer also aims to maintain compatibility with weapon modifications, although interactions with every third-party addon cannot be guaranteed.
Sling Positions and Customization
A character can wear up to two slings simultaneously.
| Sling | Available Positions |
|---|---|
| Front sling | Three adjustable positions |
| Back sling | One back position |
The front sling can be repositioned depending on how you want your equipment arranged.
An important improvement over earlier versions is that changing a sling's position no longer requires detaching its weapon.
Hide Sling Texture
If you prefer a cleaner character appearance, you can hide the sling's visual model.
Right-click the sling and select:
Hide Sling Texture
The sling remains functional even when its texture is hidden.
Optional Radial Menu
An additional radial menu allows players to manage slings and switch attached weapons more conveniently.
The Workshop item provides two Mod IDs:
alicesWeaponSling- Main weapon sling system.alicesWeaponSlingRadialMenu- Optional radial menu functionality.
This additional interface is useful when frequently switching between carried weapons.
How to Get a Weapon Sling
Slings can be found while exploring the map or crafted from basic materials.

The recipe provides an alternative to searching for a sling in the world.
Note: Adding the mod to an existing save does not retroactively generate slings in already explored areas. Explore new locations or craft one instead.
Compatibility and Installation
| Feature | Status |
|---|---|
| Build 42.20.x Stable | Supported |
| Build 41 | Not supported |
| Single-player | Supported |
| Multiplayer | Supported |
| Existing saves | Safe to add |
| Modded weapons | Broad compatibility expected |
| Optional radial menu | Available |
| Other Rifle Slings versions | Must not be mixed |
Important Warning About Existing Slings
Do not combine Alice's Weapon Sling with other versions of Noir's Rifle Slings or Akyet's Rifle Slings.
Items created by different releases are not automatically transferred between modifications.
If you remove an older sling mod, its slings may disappear along with the weapons attached to them.
Before switching versions, detach and safely store your weapons, then remove the previous modification.
This is particularly important for existing saves containing valuable firearms.
Additional Information
Alice's Weapon Sling is a useful addition for survivors who want more flexible weapon-carrying options. With adjustable positions, optional quick switching and support for multiplayer, it makes managing firearms more convenient without introducing complicated equipment systems.
