6244 3D models for Project Viewpoint
Playing Project Viewpoint in first person makes flat furniture sprites hard to ignore: a wardrobe that looks like a cardboard cutout from the side breaks immersion instantly. This pack fixes that by giving thousands of the game's objects proper depth.
The scale
6,244 models for 10,030 sprites. The pack covers furniture and appliances, kitchens and bathrooms, shelves and signs, fences and street props, industrial equipment, vegetation and plenty more.
Why it works
Faithful to the original. Every model is built from the game's own sprite, with the same colors and proportions, so the 3D version reads as the same object rather than something out of place.
Tuned for first person. This is more than a sprite conversion: - stairs now have actual steps; - doors, windows and wall pieces have been repositioned to fit; - carpets are visible from both sides; - light switches and railings were added separately.
Easy on performance. All models are low-poly, none heavier than 3,000 triangles, and the objects you run into most often are the lightest ones.
Installation
You'll need: - Project Zomboid Build 42.21.0 - Project Viewpoint (0.1.3) - ZombieBuddy, together with its Java loader - at least 4 GB of RAM allocated to the game
Load them in this order: ZombieBuddy → Viewpoint → this mod.
Anything the pack has a model for is shown in 3D. Everything else is drawn by Viewpoint as usual.
What not to expect yet
⚠️ This is an early alpha. A few objects may be slightly misplaced, poke into walls or look odd from certain angles.
- Light switches don't change appearance when flipped yet; that needs support on Viewpoint's side.
How to help
Ran into a broken or ugly model? Take a screenshot, note the object's name and drop it in the comments or the Discussions tab.
Who made the models
Some of the models were sent in by 3D artists through PZ Art (pz-art.sourkiselapps.com): 32 artists, 616 models. A huge thank you to every one of them!
