Reorder The Hotbar (B42+ Fixed) is a small interface improvement for Project Zomboid that allows players to customize the order of their quick-access slots.

Instead of using the default arrangement, you can drag individual slots into more convenient positions and organize your equipment according to your preferences.

This release restores the functionality of the original mod by Notloc for Project Zomboid Build 42 and newer.

Main Features

The modification introduces two useful improvements to the standard hotbar:

How to Rearrange Hotbar Slots

Customizing the quick-access bar is straightforward:

  2. Click and hold the slot you want to move.
  3. Drag it to the desired position.
  4. Release the mouse button to rearrange the slots.

You can organize your equipment in any order that suits your playstyle.

Using Slots with the Mouse

The addon also allows you to activate equipment directly by clicking its hotbar slot.

However, there is an important limitation.

For slots beyond the default 1-5, additional keyboard shortcuts must be assigned in the game settings.

If clicking an extra slot does nothing, check its key binding first.

The modification changes how the existing quick-access bar is controlled and organized. It does not independently add extra equipment slots.

Build 42 Compatibility

The original Reorder The Hotbar was developed by Notloc but is no longer maintained.

Its older release is not compatible with current Build 42 versions, so this fork provides a community-maintained fix.
