Join a planetary resistance against the Empire. Trade stolen intel, request support from deserter cells and manage your visibility as imperial retaliation grows. Adds an anti-imperial campaign with a new ending. Requires Royalty.
Contents
Vanilla Factions Expanded - Deserters builds a campaign around opposing the Empire and supporting its deserters. New quests, equipment and resistance services make an anti-imperial colony part of a wider underground movement.
Requires the Royalty DLC.
The Empire is watching
A visibility system tracks how much the Empire knows about your colony. Greater exposure can lead to:
- Larger imperial raids.
- Faster reinforcements at imperial compounds.
- Higher contraband prices.
- Covert Absolver raids.
Your activities therefore affect more than immediate rewards: increased imperial awareness changes the conditions of future operations.
Intel and resistance support
Intel is a new resource obtained from the Empire through different activities. Trade it with other deserter cells for assistance.
Resistance contacts can arrange shuttle pickups, create distractions and provoke imperial forces, helping your colony operate as part of a larger network.
Becoming a deserter is permanent
Hostility toward the Empire does not automatically make you a deserter. Ordinary enemies can negotiate peace later.
Deserter membership begins when you actively harbor imperial deserters and is permanent.
The mod can be added to an existing save, but you must wait for a new Chased Deserter quest before joining the resistance.
A new ending
The campaign includes a new ending. You can continue playing afterward, but both the Empire and the Deserters cease to exist.
