Raid procedurally generated villages, towns and large bases built from a library of settlement designs. Faction-specific layouts range from tribal farmland to fortified pirate compounds. For RimWorld 1.5+, requires Vanilla Expanded Framework and supports existing saves.
Contents
Vanilla Base Generation Expanded replaces repetitive faction settlements with more varied procedural layouts. A library of prepared building sections and structures helps generate villages, towns and large bases when new locations are created.
This reuploaded edition supports RimWorld 1.5 and later. Requires an up-to-date Vanilla Expanded Framework.
Settlements shaped by their factions
Different factions use different layouts and structures.
Tribal villages feature surrounding farmland, while pirate bases lean toward fortified compounds with mortars and automated defenses.
The result gives caravan expeditions and settlement raids more varied locations to explore and assault.
More demanding raids
Attacking settlements becomes slightly harder, with additional defenders and turrets. Plan for stronger resistance rather than expecting the familiar vanilla base layout.
Modded factions and other generators
The mod also affects modded factions derived from vanilla faction definitions.
According to the FAQ, it can coexist with Better Faction Bases, Bigger Faction Bases and similar mods. However, this mod’s generation is used for factions derived from vanilla definitions, rather than necessarily combining the generators’ layouts.
Saves and version selection
Compatible with existing saves.
The features come as one package; individual aspects cannot be disabled.
