Expand pigskins with organ regeneration, rapid growth and genes that make them larger and tougher with age. Encounter tusked Boarskins leading pigskin raids and experiment with new genes through genepacks. Requires Biotech; existing pigskins remain unchanged.
Vanilla Races Expanded - Pigskin develops the pigskin xenotype around its genetically engineered origins. New genes support rapid maturation, internal-organ regeneration and bodies that yield pork and pigskin when butchered.
Requires Biotech. A Humanoid Alien Races version is not planned.
Growth and regeneration
The expanded gene selection includes:
- Organ regeneration: regrows missing internal organs, including the liver, kidneys, lungs, heart and stomach. It does not regrow limbs.
- Ever-growing: increases body size with age, improving stagger resistance and survivability.
- Rapid growth: accelerates aging, helping vat-grown soldiers reach service age sooner.
- Coward: makes affected pawns easier to manage as slaves.
- Pork flesh: allows butchering to produce pork and pigskin.
Individual genes appear in genepacks and can be applied to other pawns, rather than remaining exclusive to pigskins.
Boarskin raid leaders
The new Boarskin xenotype appears within the pigskin faction and can lead its raids.
Boarskins are tougher and braver than ordinary pigskins, with prominent tusks giving them a distinct appearance.
Existing pawns and saves
Only newly generated pigskins receive the changes. Pigskins already present in your game remain unchanged.
