1949 Dodge Power Wagon
Some vehicles were built to last, and the 1949 Dodge Power Wagon is a perfect example. This legendary American pickup earned its reputation through rugged construction, impressive power and dependable performance in demanding conditions.
Now it arrives in Project Zomboid, ready to tackle abandoned roads, dangerous wilderness and hordes of the undead. Whether you prefer a classic utility truck or something built specifically for the apocalypse, there is plenty of room for customization.
Three Vehicle Variants
The collection includes three distinct configurations, each offering a different approach to survival:
- Stock - The original heavy-duty pickup, combining a classic appearance with practical off-road capabilities.
- Police - A law enforcement version with its own equipment and visual details.
- Apocalypse - A larger, more powerful modification designed for extreme conditions, featuring reinforced components and specialized tires.
All three versions support additional armor, allowing you to improve their protection as you gather resources.
Armor and Customization
One of the main advantages of this mod is its extensive selection of interchangeable parts. Many components can be crafted rather than relying entirely on finding them in the world.
Available upgrades include protection for:
- Windows and doors
- Engine compartment
- Headlights
- Wheels and surrounding bodywork
Protective fenders are particularly useful, helping shield the tires from damage during dangerous encounters.
The Apocalypse configuration also features run-flat tires. They remain usable after taking damage, although their reduced friction makes handling more challenging.
Additional Features
- Fully animated hood, trunk, doors and other moving components
- Detailed interior with a visible character model
- Improved entering, exiting and aiming animations
- Optional cargo bed seat that allows an occupant to shoot
- Removable 3D parts that can be placed in the game world
- Numerous appearance and texture variations
- Craftable equipment for different survival builds
- Support for towing and being towed
The additional seat in the cargo bed is especially useful for survivors who want another position from which to defend themselves.
