Useful Pallets turns construction and military pallets into functional material storage for Project Zomboid Build 42.
Load planks, logs, bricks, ingots, metal sheets, pipes, stone blocks and other supported resources. Each pallet stores one material type, with its appearance changing to reflect the load.
Load and retrieve supplies
Right-click a pallet to load one item or all available items. Retrieve one, half or everything when needed.
Loading can draw from:
- Your inventory and carried bags.
- Nearby containers.
- Vehicle trunks.
Transfers use timed actions. Canceling leaves already transferred items in place.
Craft directly from stored materials
Materials on pallets remain available for crafting without manual unloading.
Military pallets can also be stacked once the bottom pallet is full, increasing storage within the same footprint.
Make your own pallets
Craft empty pallets using planks, nails and a hammer:
- Construction pallets: Carpentry 2.
- Military pallets: Carpentry 4.

The mod supports 39 material types. Under Pallet Item Limits in sandbox settings, adjust construction and military pallet capacities separately.
