It Is of Interest to Me - Readable Notes, Letters and IDs for Project Zomboid

It Is of Interest to Me makes notes, letters and identification cards readable instead of dismissing them as containing nothing interesting.

The collection includes more than 1,000 notes and letters written by community contributors without AI, adding personal stories to the objects you find while scavenging.

Notes that fit their surroundings

Some texts are linked to particular locations. Hospitals, police stations, prisons, military sites, farms, churches, schools, factories, gas stations, laboratories, libraries, warehouses and restaurants have their own selections.

This changes the text displayed by an item, not its spawn location or frequency.

Some letters form connected stories across several pieces of paper. Collect them to uncover relationships, secrets, drama and revenge.

Readable identification cards

Read IDs found on zombies or inspect your own character’s card.

Cards display information about their owners, but their pictured appearance is currently generated randomly and may not match the zombie carrying them.

Languages and multiplayer

Community translations display notes and letters in your game language. Substantial translations are available for Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Ukrainian, French, German, Polish, Turkish and Chinese, though coverage varies.

If Chinese characters are missing or display incorrectly, the author recommends enabling this Chinese display fix.

Multiplayer works, but note text is generated client-side. Different players can therefore read different text on the same item.
