Bunnies expands Project Zomboid’s rabbit population with 51 breeds and variants, ranging from small dwarfs to giant rabbits. Breed sizes reflect real-world differences in size and weight.
Rabbits across the world
Rabbits can appear on farms and in the wild and can be caught using the Trapping skill.
The collection includes breeds such as Dutch, Himalayan, Californian, Alaska, Blanc de Hotot, Blue of Vienna and Flemish Giant. Some have multiple appearance variants.
Lops and dwarfs
Separate groups add:
- Lops: Dwarf Lop, Small Chinchilla Lop, Little Lop, Meissner Lop, English Lop and French Lop.
- Dwarfs: varieties including Black, Dutch, Orange, Blue, Chinchilla and Himalayan.
Lops and dwarfs can appear in the wild but must be obtained through traps. They cannot breed with the regular rabbits.
Clothing recipes
New crafting recipes let you make the complete vanilla bunny suit and additional rabbit-fur clothing.
Ongoing development
The mod remains in development, with improved textures and additional breeds planned. More distinct breed traits, color-specific fur recipes and custom models are also listed as future goals rather than current features.
The author advises caution during longer play sessions.
