Vanilla Races Expanded - Hussars - Expanded Supersoldiers and Luciferium-Fuelled Uhlans for RimWorld
Vanilla Races Expanded - Hussars develops Biotech’s military xenotype with additional genes and combat specialisation. It also introduces Uhlans, rare supersoldiers whose resilience comes with a genetic dependence on luciferium.
More distinctive soldiers
The expanded Hussar genes give these engineered fighters a stronger identity beyond general combat proficiency. Weapon-aptitude genes introduce further specialisation, making individual soldiers better suited to particular fighting styles.
Most new genes appear in genepacks and can be applied to other pawns. Automatically generated weapon-aptitude genes are excluded from that pool because of their large number.
Meet the Uhlans
Developed from captured Hussars, Uhlans were designed to counter existing supersoldier programmes.
Their characteristics include:
- Genetic luciferium dependence.
- High resilience and specialised combat roles.
- Permanently flushed skin and intense bloodthirst.
- A tendency to appear in heavy armour, charging towards their targets.
Their abilities make them valuable fighters, while their dependence creates an ongoing supply requirement.
Requirements and saves
Requires the Biotech DLC. No Humanoid Alien Races version is provided.
The xenotypes can appear through faction pawn generation. The mod can be added to an existing save, but only newly generated Hussars receive its changes. Existing Hussars remain unchanged.
Removing the mod during a playthrough is not considered safe. Combat Extended compatibility is not confirmed.
