Barricades 3D — Solid Planks and Metal for Project Viewpoint

Barricades 3D gives barricaded doors and windows physical depth in Project Viewpoint. Wooden boards, metal sheets and bars become three-dimensional models, making them more convincing when viewed up close or from an angle.

Features

• Wooden barricades: displays one to four boards in the positions used by the game.
• Metal protection: replaces flat sheets and bars with 3D models.
• Immediate updates: adding or removing barricades changes their appearance straight away.
• Automatic operation: no additional settings are needed.

The mod uses Viewpoint – Barricade Fix to position barricades, replacing their flat artwork with models at those locations.

Requirements and installation

Tested with Project Zomboid Build 42.21 and Project Viewpoint 0.1.6.1.

Required mods:

• ZombieBuddy
• Project Viewpoint
• Viewpoint – Barricade Fix

Complete ZombieBuddy’s initial installation, then enable all dependencies and Barricades 3D. Make sure Viewpoint – Barricade Fix loads before this mod.

For an existing playthrough, also enable the mod in that save’s mod list. Fully close and restart the game, then approve its Java component when ZombieBuddy prompts you. Reloading a save alone does not load the Java code.

Compatibility

This is a visual modification running on the client. Barricade strength, required materials and construction or removal actions retain their vanilla behavior.

It can be added to or removed from existing saves. For multiplayer, include it in the server’s mod list.

If boards still appear flat, check the required mods, load order, Java approval and full game restart. Startup information and compatibility failures are recorded in Zomboid/console.txt.
