Vanilla Races Expanded - Sanguophage - Vampiric Bloodlines and Hemogen Systems for RimWorld
Vanilla Races Expanded - Sanguophage expands Biotech’s vampiric xenohumans with three new variants, additional genes, blood-type mechanics and deathrest facilities. Build a colony around their abilities while managing the demands of a reliable blood supply.
Three new sanguophage variants
Encounter Strigoi, Ekkimian and Bruxa, each with distinct appearances, abilities and playstyles.
These variants can appear when the game generates a sanguophage, including during sanguophage meeting events. Their individual genes also appear in genepacks, allowing you to incorporate selected traits into other pawns.
Manage blood and bloodlust
Blood types and affinities affect abilities, social interactions and compatibility. Maintaining hemogen supplies becomes an important part of supporting your vampires.
Additional mechanics include:
- Blood Moon events that strengthen sanguophages while bringing new challenges.
- The Hemohunter mental state, during which a blood-starved vampire hunts prey.
- New deathrest buildings for developing specialised facilities.
- A hemogen network for supplying connected equipment.
The network accepts standard hemogen only, because deathrest structures require that resource.
Requirements and compatibility
Requires Biotech. Royalty is optional, but the Psychofluid Well is unavailable without it.
The mod adds new variants rather than replacing the base sanguophage, supporting coexistence with other sanguophage mods. Combat Extended compatibility is not confirmed.
Known conflict: Visual Exceptions can prevent obtaining sanguophage hemogen packs from downed sanguophages.
The mod can be added to an existing save. Removing it during a playthrough is not considered safe.
