Vanilla Plants Expanded - More Plants - New Crops and Growing Zones for RimWorld
Vanilla Plants Expanded - More Plants expands farming with additional crops, fruit plants and specialised growing zones. It gives your colony ways to cultivate otherwise unused terrain, grow decorative flowers and produce plant-based milk.
Three specialised growing zones
Each new zone supports crops that require its particular conditions:
- Flower gardens grow decorative flowers that improve beauty.
- Sandy growing zones support plants adapted to sand.
- Aquatic growing zones let you cultivate suitable plants in water.
Sandy and aquatic crops ignore fertility, but take considerably longer to sow and harvest. Using these spaces therefore requires more colonist labour.
Produce plant-based milk
Research vegetable milk production to process rice, coconuts and almonds into milk. Additional integrations provide:
- Oats with Vanilla Cooking Expanded.
- Soybeans with Vanilla Cooking Expanded - Sushi.
Production is inefficient and primarily useful for recipes that specifically require milk. It does not bypass the meat or animal-product requirement for fine meals.
Fruit trees and compatibility
New fruit trees require Tree Sowing research. Planted trees cannot be relocated, preserving their spacing requirements.
Requires Vanilla Plants Expanded.
The mod works alongside VGP and RimCuisine2, though some crops and produce may overlap. Grow Anywhere has a hard incompatibility with the sandy and aquatic plants.
You can add the module to an existing save. Removing it during a playthrough is discouraged.
