Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Spacer 2 - Futuristic Furniture for RimWorld

Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Spacer 2 gives advanced colonies an interior to match their technology. This overhaul of the original Spacer module updates its artwork, revises furniture statistics and expands the selection of futuristic furnishings.

What it adds

  • Advanced beds for high-tech living quarters.
  • Illuminated furniture and interactive tables for futuristic interiors.
  • Large and wall-mounted televisions for recreation rooms.
  • Modern couches and armchairs for comfortable seating areas.
  • Air purifiers that improve cleanliness while powered.

Furniture has its own statistics or functionality, including differences in rest effectiveness, recreation and bonuses for linked beds. Construction uses familiar resources without introducing complicated new systems.

The air purifier’s +20 cleanliness bonus requires electricity. An unpowered purifier provides no bonus.

Compatibility and requirements

The mod is designed to fit alongside other Vanilla Expanded content in both appearance and balance.

For RimWorld 1.4 and earlier, the original Vanilla Furniture Expanded is required. Later versions no longer depend on Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Core.

No DLC is required, although additional functionality is available with Ideology.

Existing saves and settings

The overhaul supports existing colonies and updates furniture from the previous version. The author notes that harmless red errors may appear during the transition.

There are no built-in switches for disabling individual furniture pieces.

If furniture disappears after construction, move the mod higher in the load order.
