Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Security - Defenses for Every Stage of RimWorld

Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Security expands colony defenses from medieval traps and siege weapons to advanced energy turrets. This overhaul revises the original module’s balance, updates existing structures and introduces more ways to fortify your base.

Defensive options

• Medieval: catapults, cavalry spikes, ballistas and reusable bear traps.
• Industrial: military, flamethrower and shotgun turrets, concealed barriers and other defensive structures.
• Trench warfare: dugouts, trenches, platforms, razor wire, heavy machine-gun and minigun complexes.
• Spacer: charge turrets and complexes, railguns, tesla blasters and shock mines.

The range supports different approaches to defense, from prepared firing positions and obstacles to automated weapons. Turret statistics have been reassessed against their vanilla counterparts to improve balance.

Compatibility and DLC

No DLC is required. Biotech and Anomaly provide access to additional functionality, including certain turrets.

The mod is designed to work alongside other Vanilla Expanded content. There are no built-in settings for disabling individual structures.

Existing saves and updates

Existing saves are supported, including colonies using the previous official version. Removed objects may produce red error messages during the transition.

Saves that used an unofficial RimWorld 1.6 port may not be compatible with this official release.

If a structure disappears after construction, move the mod higher in the load order.
