Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Production - Specialized Workshops for RimWorld
Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Production adds another stage to colony manufacturing with specialized equipment, electric workstations and large production benches. Its additions encourage dedicated workshops while retaining RimWorld’s familiar visual style.
Equipment and workstation upgrades
- Six specialized support buildings increase work speed at particular types of workbench. Their bonuses stack with tool cabinets.
- Electric stonecutting, butchering and drug-production stations upgrade tasks previously handled at manual benches.
- A compact component assembly bench produces components without offering the full fabrication bench’s recipe selection.
- A fueled smelter, unlocked through Smithing research, provides an earlier way to process accumulated metal slag.
Large-scale production
The Manufacturing research project unlocks oversized workbenches with 1.5x work speed. Their larger footprint gives you a reason to plan separate production rooms.
A large stove also allows meals to be prepared in bulk.
Modded recipes and load order
Large workbenches inherit recipes from mods loaded before this module. Place Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Production near the bottom of your load order, after the mods whose recipes you want included.
If furniture disappears after construction, the author recommends moving the mod higher. When adjusting its position, keep recipe-providing mods above it where possible.
Requirements and compatibility
The original Vanilla Furniture Expanded is not required. The module supports existing saves and can be added or removed during a playthrough.
The kitchen sink includes compatibility with Dubs Bad Hygiene.
