Vanilla Fishing Expanded - Fishing Treasures Add-On - More Surprises in Every Catch
Vanilla Fishing Expanded - Fishing Treasures Add-On expands the items your colonists can pull from the water instead of fish. It turns an occasional special catch into a wider range of useful supplies and rare discoveries.
More than fish
Vanilla Fishing Expanded normally gives fishing a configurable 1% chance to produce a special item. This add-on broadens that pool beyond wood, beer, gold, steel and jade.
Possible catches include additional base-game items and content from supported mods, such as:
- Honey from Alpha Bees.
- Boots from Vanilla Apparel Expanded.
- An exceptionally rare AI persona core.
Items have different selection weights, so valuable finds remain less common than ordinary supplies.
Adjust the treasure chance
The special-catch probability is controlled through Vanilla Fishing Expanded’s settings, where it can be increased up to 100%.
The add-on changes the special-catch item pool, leaving other fishing mechanics alone.
Requirements and compatibility
Requires Vanilla Fishing Expanded.
It also works with Odyssey’s fishing system through Vanilla Fishing Expanded.
From RimWorld 1.6 onward, modded item support focuses on applicable Vanilla Expanded and Alpha mods. Earlier integrations with external mod series are no longer supported.
The add-on can be added to an existing save. Removing it during a playthrough is discouraged.
