Vanilla Textures Expanded - Variations - More Building Styles for RimWorld

Vanilla Textures Expanded - Variations adds over 150 visual variants for 35 vanilla buildings, helping your colony look less repetitive. Chairs, research benches and other supported structures can have different appearances while remaining familiar RimWorld buildings.

Mix and match your furniture

Newly constructed buildings can receive a random graphic. You can also choose a variant manually or randomise it again using the building’s buttons.

Keep a room visually consistent or mix designs across your settlement without rebuilding its furniture.

Control automatic variations

Settings are found under Vanilla Expanded Framework’s mod options. You can:

• Keep the default graphic when a building first appears.
• Hide the buttons for choosing and randomising graphics.

Disabling automatic variation and hiding both controls leaves no active way to apply the variants through normal play.

Compatibility

Requires Vanilla Expanded Framework. The original Vanilla Textures Expanded pack is not required.

The mod is designed to work alongside texture overhauls, including Vanilla Textures Expanded, and supports Combat Extended. Packs that change building dimensions, such as Gloomy Vanilla, may cause visual oddities.

Buildings with an Ideology style keep their initial styled appearance. You can change their graphic afterwards, while style dominance is preserved.

The variation system runs when buildings are created or its controls are used, keeping processing demands low. Chosen graphics are intended to persist between saves and loads.
