Vanilla Psycasts Expanded - Psychic Progression and New Abilities for RimWorld

Vanilla Psycasts Expanded reworks Royalty’s psychic powers into a progression system with hundreds of abilities, specialised paths and freely allocated level-up points. Develop a focused psycaster or combine disciplines to create your own approach.

Build your psycaster

Meditation contributes to progression, earning levels and points that can unlock abilities or improve overall psychic statistics.

Choose paths such as the fire-wielding Conflagrator or animal-focused Wildspeaker, or invest across several paths. There is no level cap.

Supported abilities can be set to autocast by right-clicking them, reducing the need to activate every power manually.

Face enemy psycasters

Rare tribal and Imperial raid strategies can bring hostile psycasters into battle. Each faction uses appropriate psychic disciplines, and these enemies can use their unlocked abilities against your colony.

The game warns you when an incoming raid includes a psycaster.

For more frequent psychic characters, select Basilicus Bestower and adjust his mod settings. His options can make every incoming pawn a psycaster.

Existing saves

The mod can be added to an ongoing game, but it changes existing psycasters:

• Their previous abilities are removed.
• Those abilities are converted into psycaster levels.
• You spend the resulting points to select powers within the new system.

Back up your save before installation. Removing the mod from an active save is not supported.

Compatibility

The authors expect compatibility with RimWorld of Magic, while Combat Extended support is not firmly confirmed in the description.
