Vanilla Helixien Gas Expanded - Gas Extraction and Appliances for RimWorld

Vanilla Helixien Gas Expanded adds a gas-powered infrastructure for your colony. Extract Helixien gas, distribute it through pipes and use it to run appliances that remain operational during solar flares.

Originally part of Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Power, the system became a separate module with the RimWorld 1.4 update.

Establish a reliable fuel supply

A small, infinite gas deposit is available from the start of the game. After developing the necessary technology and installing a pump, you can draw a modest but continuous supply without searching for additional deposits.

Use the ground-penetrating scanner to discover more gas pockets. These additional deposits are finite, allowing you to increase production temporarily while the original source remains available.

Equip your colony with gas appliances

The mod includes gas-powered:

• Stoves for cooking.
• Smithies for production.
• Lamps for lighting.
• Heaters for temperature control.

These appliances provide an alternative infrastructure that is immune to solar flares.

Compatibility and saves

The mod supports Combat Extended and can be installed alongside other oil, refining and pipe mods.

It can also be added to an existing save. Players who want the Helixien gas features previously included in Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Power need this separate module.
