Vanilla Hair Expanded - New Hairstyles, Beards and a Barber’s Table for RimWorld
Vanilla Hair Expanded gives your colonists more individual looks with 100 hairstyles and 15 beard styles drawn to match RimWorld’s vanilla art. From tribal settlers to space refugees, the expanded selection helps each pawn look more distinctive.
Restyle your colonists
A barber’s table, available from the start in Architect > Misc, lets you change a colonist’s:
- Hairstyle
- Hair colour
- Beard style
The table also detects hairstyles from other installed hair mods, bringing those options into the same customisation interface.
Male colonists have a 20% chance to generate with a beard. Beards can be disabled in the mod settings.
Beards and headgear
Beards render separately from hair, so wearing a helmet does not automatically hide them. They disappear only when the equipped headgear covers the jaw.
Compatibility and saves
The mod supports other hair packs and Combat Extended. It can be added to or removed from an existing save.
Known interactions include:
- Facial Stuff: its beard system conflicts with this mod’s beards. The barber’s table is hidden when Facial Stuff is active to avoid overlapping customisation systems.
- EdB Prepare Carefully: beard selection is unavailable during character creation. Use the barber’s table after starting the game. This can also correct pink-square rendering caused by beard-layer recognition issues.
When using Facial Stuff or Vanilla Factions Expanded - Medieval, load Vanilla Hair Expanded after them.
