Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Power - Energy Progression for RimWorld

Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Power expands electricity generation and storage, giving colonies more options as their technology develops. Its equipment ranges from portable generators to industrial installations, advanced clean-energy systems and nuclear power.

Generation and storage

  • Small portable generators for compact power setups.
  • Large industrial generators for greater energy demands.
  • Advanced clean-energy sources for technologically developed colonies.
  • A nuclear generator with a comparatively straightforward operating system.
  • Additional batteries for storing electricity.

The module aims to fit vanilla power-generation balance while adding more technological progression. New structures are unlocked through projects in the standard research tab.

Nuclear power and radiation

Nuclear accidents use RimWorld’s toxic buildup system to represent radiation exposure. Equipment that reduces toxic sensitivity can therefore help protect colonists during a meltdown.

Vanilla Armor Expanded offers hazmat suits and gas masks as optional protective equipment.

Requirements and compatibility

Requires Vanilla Expanded Framework. The original Vanilla Furniture Expanded base module is not required.

Compatibility is listed for Combat Extended, Rimatomics and Rimfeller. The module can be added to an existing save.

Construction notes

Conduits can be placed over pipes, but placing pipes over existing conduits may fail. Deconstructing and rebuilding the affected sections resolves the placement issue.

The supplied description gives conflicting load-order advice for disappearing structures, so it does not establish a single recommended direction for that fix.
