Vanilla Brewing Expanded - Drinks, Brewing and Cocktails for RimWorld
Vanilla Brewing Expanded adds new drinks and production options to colony life, from a morning coffee to carefully aged spirits. Each beverage has its own benefits, drawbacks and preparation process, giving you more choices for recreation and managing your colonists’ needs.
More than alcohol
- Seven new alcohol types, each with distinct production chains, effects and uses.
- Hot tea that boosts immunity.
- Hot and iced coffee that help colonists stay awake, with benefits against hypothermia and heatstroke respectively.
- Soft drinks that can also serve as cocktail ingredients.
- Cigarettes and cigars that help in stressful situations but are highly addictive.
To make iced coffee, place coffee in a refrigerator. Once chilled into iced coffee, it cannot be reheated.
Build a colony bar
Research Mixology to unlock a bar workbench where colonists can combine alcohol and soft drinks into cocktails. Each alcohol contributes its own trait, allowing different combinations to produce different effects.
Other mods expand the available ingredients:
- Vanilla Factions Expanded - Settlers adds chemshine integration.
- Vanilla Factions Expanded - Medieval provides wine for cocktails.
- Vanilla Plants Expanded enables cider production.
- RimBees adds mead.
Age your finest spirits
Ambrandy reaches its highest quality after 120 days, but you can remove it earlier for a lower-quality product. Aged ambrandy also provides beauty, making a prized bottle part of your colony’s decoration.
Shelves conceal that beauty bonus. Display it on the floor in a stockpile or on a plinth from Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Art instead.
Requirements and saves
Requires Vanilla Expanded Framework.
The mod can be added to an existing save. Removing it may cause errors, so back up your colony before changing an established mod list.
