Vanilla Animals Expanded - More Wildlife and Pets for RimWorld
Vanilla Animals Expanded brings together most of the series’ earlier animal modules in one collection. It adds dozens of species, from house cats and rottweilers to anacondas and Indian elephants, with artwork designed to fit RimWorld’s vanilla style.
A more varied animal world
The expanded selection gives colonies more wildlife to encounter and animals to tame. Many species can appear in temperate forests, while others also inhabit additional biomes.
You can tailor the collection through individual animal settings. Disabling a species prevents it from spawning in the wild, letting you keep only the animals you want.
Odyssey integration
Odyssey is optional. If the DLC is installed, overlapping species use their Odyssey versions, preventing duplicate animals from appearing.
Without Odyssey, the corresponding animals from this mod remain available.
What the collection includes
The mod merges most of the earlier biome-focused Vanilla Animals Expanded packs. Waste Animals, Endangered Animals and Royal Animals remain separate, as they include their own specialised mechanics or events.
Compatibility and saves
Vanilla Animals Expanded can be added to an existing save. Removing it during a playthrough may cause issues.
Combat Extended compatibility is not confirmed in the supplied description.
Authors: Oskar Potocki and Sarg Bjornson, with lemur artwork by Luizi.
